The Imagination Library of San Antonio is organized into distinct zones, each serving children under five on those areas. ILSA will be deployed in a phased launch, having as only criterion for eligibility the availability of funds to enroll a kid.

Zone 1 – Northwest covers areas including ZIP codes 78250, 78254, 78238, and 78251. This zone has a total of 15,669 children. The various school districts in this zone collaborate to ensure seamless delivery of books.
Zone 2 – Northside serves children within the NISD and NEISD school districts. With ZIP codes ranging from 78257 to 78266, this zone is supported by the Parman Library and City Council Rep John Courage. Terri Chidgey represents the school districts here. This zone supports 15,710 children.
Zone 3 – North Central includes ZIP codes 78229, 78240, 78230, 78216, and 78213, with a total of 14,796 children. The school districts and council representatives in this area work together to support the literacy program.
Zone 4 – Live Oak/Alamo Heights encompasses ZIP codes 78247, 78233, 78217, 78239, 78218, and 78209. It supports 15,223 children. The local libraries and city council representatives in this zone are dedicated to promoting early literacy.
Zone 5 – Eastside includes ZIP codes 78244, 78219, 78220, 78202, 78203, 78215, 78205, 78204, 78208, 78234, 78212, 78201, and 78210. This zone has a total of 13,599 children. The school districts and local libraries here play a crucial role in the program’s success.
Zone 6 – Central Downtown serves the heart of the city, with ZIP codes 78227, 78228, 78237, 78207, and 78225. This zone supports 14,735 children, ensuring that even those in the bustling downtown area have access to books and literacy resources.
Zone 7 – Westside includes ZIP codes 78253, 78245, and 78252, with a total of 14,652 children. This zone focuses on supporting families in the western part of San Antonio.
Zone 8 – Southside covers ZIP codes 78236, 78226, 78242, 78211, 78224, 78264, 78263, 78214, 78223, and 78222. With 15,567 children, this zone ensures that those in the southern part of the city receive the educational support they need.
